Barry Parkville, Flat Bush

At Barry Parkville in Flat Bush, Auckland, Landworks delivered subdivision engineering services for a large-scale residential project comprising 38 terraced houses and 12 apartments with on-site parking. Our role covered the full civil design process, from Resource Consent and Engineering Plan Approval through to construction monitoring and Council Completion Certificates, which were successfully issued in 2022.

The subdivision was designed from a greenfields site and required a complete package of civil infrastructure. Landworks managed more than 3,000m³ of earthworks to establish buildable platforms, along with the installation of 450 m of stormwater pipes, 350 m of wastewater pipes, and 350 m of water supply connections. Careful management of overland flowpaths was also a key part of the design to ensure the site achieved both regulatory compliance and long-term resilience.

Common accessways and concrete driveway design were integrated into the subdivision layout to provide safe and practical connections for vehicles and pedestrians. In addition to the engineering approvals, Landworks provided monitoring of the physical works during construction to confirm the design intent was met on the ground and that all drainage, roading, and services were completed to Auckland Council standards.

The Barry Parkville project reflects Landworks’ ability to coordinate multiple disciplines on complex residential developments. By combining strong technical design with practical construction oversight, we were able to deliver a subdivision that not only met the client’s objectives but also enhanced local infrastructure in Flat Bush.
